Meet John & Donna Avant
John and Donna have been married for over 45 years and have three married adult children and seven grandkids. Dr. Avant is the founder and President of Passion Promise Ministries. John and Donna have given their lives to see the fulfillment of the Great Commission within the next 10 years. They believe this can be done by reaching unengaged people. Their part in this vision is to help churches be on mission and stay on mission, to help missionaries stay healthy in their souls and marriages, and to help fuel the fire of the Great Commission revival on university campuses. They have also authored five books on faith and revival. Check them out below!

"Passion Promise Ministries, through the preaching, prayers and presence of John Avant and Andrew Osakue, made a lasting impact on students at Houston Christian University during the October 2024 revival series of messages, called IGNITE. John and Andrew personally visited the campus nearly 4 months before the event to learn about the diversity of backgrounds, faith, and spiritual needs. From the prayers and conversations on that day, they planned and prepared to minister to specific needs of HCU students. The combination of preparation, prayers, and passion, through the leadership and presence of God (the Holy Spirit), dozens of students responded to faith through first-time decisions to trust Christ as Savior, or to surrender/recommit to Christ as Lord.
